A jaunt up the west coast

I had hoped for clear weather the whole way but some cloud cover meant I could only get a few landscape pics so the rest are aircraft related.  Perth to Singapore is not a bad day out - civilised sign on time coupled with a reasonably short day and a beer o'clock arrival in Singapore .

It was my turn to do the walk around inspection which is always nice on a dry, mild day.  Wings, wheels and engines all attached so onwards and upwards.

Now the tyres aren't as good as slicks but they can handle the wet and good for up to 204 knots (377 km/hr).

The circular assembly in the centre of the wheel is a brake fan. Some aircraft in the fleet have them, some don't, activated after landing and also on the taxi out prior to departure if required.   Never had the slightest issue with brake temps on Boeings but it's an issue on Airbus.

After an uneventful departure we set course for Singapore after some manoeuvring off the coast to avoid active military airspace around Pearce.  It's a scenic flight although this day took us on a more westerly route initially than some others so only managed to get a few pics of the scenery.

About 6 hours after these photos were taken we were enjoying a cold beer and chinese food at Fattys.
